Beginning in 1987 and continuing until today Lutheran Pioneers has sponsored a week-long Bike Trip across Southern Wisconsin. The
bikers use lightly traveled scenic roads. Nights are spent in WELS schools and churches. Bikers travel very lightly. There
is a SAG vehicle and trailer that transports gear and assists in the case of breakdowns.
The distance biked will vary from a
total of 300 to 400 miles depending on the number of side trips taken. On Wednesday of the trip week there is no organized biking.
Instead the group spends the day in the Wisconsin Dells at a water park.
