2012 Lutheran Pioneer Bike Trip

Southern Wisconsin

Burlington to Baraboo to Burlington, WI

 

Dates: August 5 - 11, 2012
Location: Burlington to Baraboo to Burlington, WI 
Reservations due:    July 2, 2012.  Late reservations will be taken after this date as space permits. 
Participants: Men and boys 7th grade and up
Approximate Cost: $120 until July 2 for members of active Trains and former Bike Trip participants
                               $145 after July 2 for members of active Trains and former Bike Trip participants
                               $150 until July 2 for non-members
                               $175 after July 2 for non-members 

Beginning in 1987 and continuing until today Lutheran Pioneers has sponsored a week-long Bike Trip across Southern Wisconsin. The bikers use lightly traveled scenic roads. Nights are spent in WELS schools and churches.  Bikers travel very lightly. There is a SAG vehicle and trailer that transports gear and assists in the case of breakdowns.

 

The distance biked will vary from a total of 300 to 400 miles depending on the number of side trips taken. On Wednesday of the trip week there is no organized biking. Instead the group spends the day in the Wisconsin Dells at a water park.
