Membership in Lutheran Pioneers, Inc. runs from October 1 through September 30 of each year. As we approach the beginning of a new membership year, you may register online.
It is important that the application form is correctly filled out and submitted as soon as possible. If you do not have all of the information you can send it to us later as an update to your registration. The sooner we get your form the better our communication will be. If you are chartering your Train, we will assign you a Train number.
Complete addresses are important to us. Don't forget the ZIP CODES. You should note that we have added a spot for e-mail addresses. This will become more and more useful now that we have an active web site.
We have added some spaces to this years form. This allows more of your leaders to receive the information from the National Office. Here is a quick explanation of each of the spaces. The Pastor is self-explanatory. If you have more than one Pastor serving your congregation and would like all of them to receive the newsletter, please include all of the addresses.
The Train Council Chairman is obviously the person heading up your Train Council. If that position is currently vacant, you may want to include the name and address of the person in your congregation who is in charge of the board to which your group reports. That may be the chairman of the congregation, the chairman of the Youth Board or something of that nature.
The Trainmaster is the person who oversees the total program. They coordinate the work of all of the leaders in your Train. The Senior Leaders are listed for each level. If you do not have your leaders set up in this way fill in the names and change the position title.
The address you use here is the one that will receive the invoices and monthly statements. In most cases it will be your Trains treasurer. This person will not receive a copy of the newsletter so if you want them to be on the Notes mailing list you will need to include them in the listing of leaders.
This year we have included a shipping address. We will be going to a new system and it would help us to have the same shipping address for all shipments to a Train. For your information, there is a saving in shipping costs if we ship to a commercial address rather than a residential address. Your church office or school office would qualify as a commercial address. You may want to consider this. If you do give us a shipping address, we can still make exceptions when needed.
This year we are asking you to give us the number of boys you have at each level of the program. The levels are explained. Also in this mailing is a form for you to complete giving us the names and addresses of your boys. There are several times during the year that we send information directly to the boys or their parents. We have found that it is quicker and less expensive to mail directly instead of shipping things to you and asking you to then distribute them. Note that we are asking for the rank of each boy on this form. You can use the following code: B - Buckaroos, R - Recruits, C - Campers, F - Frontiersman and T - Trooper. The levels are explained on the registration form.
This separate sheet can be sent to us later. W e would prefer that you do not hold your registration form until you have all of this information on your boys. That can take several months to stabilize and we really need your leader information as soon as possible.
Available from National are individual membership cards for each boy. If you are chartering your Train they will automatically be sent to you. If this is a renewal of membership please indicate how many cards you would like to have sent.
An invoice is sent to the person who is registered as the invoice person. We have a registration fee system. It is $90 per train (includes Trading Post, Audio/Visual, and use of Train Library & it’s updates) plus $12/boy (WTN and 10% off all personal purchases from Trading Post).
Thank you for your help in getting this information to our office. We appreciate all that you do as you "walk with your boys on the Godly road to Christian adulthood" and look forward to serving you in the coming year.
